In May, I started a Meetup writing group called Shut Up and Write in Honolulu because there weren’t any other local writing groups in the area! I waited two or three months before going, “I guess I’ll have to create one myself.”
I’m happy to say that two and a half months later, the group is going well. We meet weekly and write for 1-1.5 hours and then chat, socialize, network, and talk about writing!
We don’t care what you’re writing – as long as it’s some kind of project. It can be a novel, a screenplay, poems, a thesis paper, anything! The goal is to encourage, support, and write in the company of other writers!
